Poitou-Charentes joins HyER Electromobility Project
April 16, 2012
The French region will collaborate with the European Association for hydrogen, fuel cells and electromobility in European regions to gather data on electric vehicles.

The partners will monitor the deployment of electric vehicles, including fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV), battery electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), as part of a pilot project run by HyER (formerly HyRamp) to establish the framework for a European Electromobility Observatory.

The project will consider passenger cars, buses, light duty trucks and two-wheelers, as well as the infrastructure for charging or replacing batteries, and hydrogen fuelling stations. The project aims at making HyER a point of reference for electromobility in Europe through the establishment of an observatory which would gather relevant data from FCEV and BEV projects and programmes to facilitate policymaking at EU, national and local level.

In addition to Poitou-Charentes, the regions of London, Milan, Rotterdam/Amsterdam, Hamburg, North Rhine Westphalia, and Oslo/Stockholm will participate to the project.
